EAC Hq Sakshi, Longleng in collaboration with SBI Longleng, Veterinary Department Longleng and National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Nagaland conducted a Sensitization/ Awareness programme at Sakshi on the following matters on 11th February 2022:

(1) Kisan Credit Card (KCC) (2) Piggery, Poultry, Dairy farming & Mithun Rearing (3) Helpline for Senior citizens.

Stressing on the importance of income generation through piggery and Poultry rearing at the village level, Branch Manager SBI Longleng, Dowari highlighted the availability of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) through which financial help in the form of loan can be availed by various farmers, which in turn can boost the rural economy.

Vety. Surgeon (VS), Dr Aoyimsen Jamir spoke on the economic value of rearing livestock at the village level. He said that while a separate Veterinary outpost for the EAC Sakshi circle is awaiting administrative clearance, the concerned department is actively coordinating with DFO, Longleng in surveillance of wild animals within the region. Stressing on the importance of "technology transfer" concerning poultry rearing, Dr. Jamir pointed out that vaccination in proper time suiting to the local condition is imperative in achieving a positive outcome. He further stated that Innovation Poultry Production (IPP) scheme is in the offing which will be soon implemented during the current financial year 2022-2023.

Field Response Officer (FRO) National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Nagaland, Zhoposato Thari highlighted the role of their service for Senior Citizens in the district.

A total of around 70 participants from 7 (Seven) villages under Sakshi circle attended the event.
