FIRST CASE OF COVID-19 POSITIVE CASE CONFIRMED IN MOKOKCHUNG

A female returnee from Delhi at the Mary Mead Quarantine Centre, Impur was detected positive through Truenat Testing on 27th June 2020. Subsequently, sample was sent for confirmation to the BSL -3 Lab. Kohima on 28th June where it was tested positive and the result was received on 30th June 2020. The patient is currently at the Covid Care Centre, Mokokchung, she is asymptomatic and her condition is stable.

Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung through an order has informed that, in view of the confirmation of one positive case of Covid-19 and in the interest of public health and safety, the Mary Mead Hostel Campus, encompassing IBS Building 1, IBS Building 2 and IBS Building 3 is hereby declared as Containment Zone as defined in the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Nagaland with immediate effect.
