On October 6th, 2023, in commemoration of the International Day of Older Persons, a one-day Free Denture Camp was conducted at the District Hospital in Zunheboto. The camp was organized by the Zunheboto Nagaland State Branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA), spearheaded by the dedicated Dental Surgeons, Dr. Rosy Yhome, Dr. Esther Chophy Ngullie, and Dr. Kiyeto T Awomi.
A total of 138 patients were meticulously screened during the camp, receiving essential dental assessments and care. Notably, approximately 80 patients were fortunate to receive free dentures, enabling them to regain their oral health and quality of life.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Indian Dental Association and its dedicated dental professionals to serve the community, particularly the older generation. It stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to providing vital dental services and improving the overall well-being of older persons in Zunheboto.
The Denture Camp received accolades from attendees and the local community for its compassionate and impactful efforts in enhancing the oral health and livelihoods of older individuals.
