EAC Peren, Seyievilie Pfukri in the presence of ADS Peren, Ward Chairmen of Peren town andCivil Society representatives launched the Free Ration Distribution program under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) scheme at Fair Price Shop, Peren Town on 25th April, 2020.

While launching, the EAC stated that the government of india has launched thescheme for relief during the COVID-19 crisis and under PMGKAY Scheme, Priority Household (PHH) & AAY ration card holders under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) will receive 5kgs of rice per person per family free of cost for three consecutive months i.e., for the month of April, May and June.

Meanwhile, in Jalukie town Free Ration Distribution program under PMGKAY Scheme was also launched by ADC Jalukie, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang. EAC Jalukie, representatives from various civil societies and Ward Chairmen from different blocks of Jalukie were also present in the launching program.
