Friday weekly market, initiated by Zunheboto Range Students' Union was launched at Zunheboto town on 9th September 2022. The launching programme was inaugurated by President Sumi Kükami Hoho, Kashito Yeputhomi.

Yeputhomi while declaring the Friday Bazaar open said that the programme was a much-awaited initiative that is now materializing and appreciated the efforts of the ZRSU President and his colleagues. He also appealed to the buyers to continue to encourage the local vendors by buying organic edibles from the weekly market.

While delivering the introductory speech, president ZRSU Gihuka Zhimo said that the programme was initiated with a very vital motive, which is to provide local entrepreneurs a platform to exhibit country-grown organic edibles and also to showcase craftsmanship. We are forgetting the price value of abundantly grown organic veggies, he lamented. He added that the union also aims to create awareness of self-sustainability in society.
