DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS on 3rd December 2021 handed over a cheque of Rs. 3 lakh (3,00,000/-) on behalf of the Governor of Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, to the bereaved wife of Late N. Khatnei Konyak. 

N. Khatnei Konyak and six others were killed in an ambush by militants on the convoy of the 46th Assam Rifles at Sialsi Village, Churachandpur, Manipur on 13th November 2021.
