The Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, hoisted the National Tricolour at Lok Bhavan, Kohima, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026.

            The National Flag was hoisted with due solemnity, marking the celebration of India’s 80th year of Independence and honouring the sacrifices and contributions of the freedom fighters who laid the foundation for a free and sovereign nation. The ceremonial flag hoisting was attended by officers, staff and security personnel of the Governor’s Secretariat.
