The Governor of Nagaland ‘Flag In’ the National Integration Tour-2023, comprising of 19 students from villages surrounding Chakabama, Nagaland who went on a tour to the Kumaon region and visited Naga Regimental Centre Ranikhet, Indian Military Academy Dehradun, Rashtriya Indian Military College Derhradun, Kartavya Path, Rashtrapati Bhavan, malls, and educational Institutes in New Delhi and other important places. The flag –in program was attended by officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, PRO Assam Rifles and team as well as officers and jawans from the 16 Kumaon Regiment. The Flag-in and welcoming programme was held on 10 October 2023 at Raj Bhavan Kohima.

Later, the Governor interacted with the students and advised them to develop the inquisitive spirit and learn about the people and the places whenever they go and visit new places. He also highlighted on the specialty of our country “Unity of diversity” and urged them to promote unity wherever they go. The Governor also thanked the organizers for the initiative to provide the students with a pan Indian exposure & insight into the diverse cultural heritage of India. 

This tour was earlier flagged off by Lieutenant General H S Sahi AVSM, YSM, SM, GOC, Spear Corps at Dimapur which was organized by the Indian Army under the banner of “ A journey to envision your Future, Experience the pride & take the leap of Success” from 27th  September 2023 to 10th  October 2023. The tour was led by Lt. Col. Gomit Dubey.
