Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Petroleum & Nature Gas Government of
India, Hardeep Singh Puri visited Tuensang on 4th November 2023 and interacted with the
beneficiary of Ujjwala Yojana of the District.
Speaking at the session the Minister informed that under the Prime Minister Narendra
Modi, Development of North East in general and Nagaland in particular is witness by many
people and he is happy to see many beneficiaries under Ujjwala Yojana scheme at Tuensang.
He stated that during the Pandemic period the present Government at the Centre had
given many schemes to the people which raise the standard of livelihood and economic of the

people especially women in India. The Minister also assured to take up Project for Multi
Shopping Mall and Parking in Tuensang Town.
      The Minister was accompanied by Minister Housing & Mechanical Engineering,
Bashangmongba Chang, Advisor Youth Resource & Sports, Keoshu Yimchunger, MLA
Imtichuba, MLA Benei M Lamthiu and State BJP President, Benjamin Yepthomi and host of
dignitaries. The programme was chaired by DC Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa; welcome
address was delivered by Minister Housing & Mechanical Engineering, Bashangmongba Chang
and Power Point Presentation from DUDA on DAY-NULM and IOC Ltd on Ujjwala Yojana.
