A Block Level Health Mela was held on 28th April 2022 at PHC Sechu Zubza, Kohima organised by District Health Society, Department of Health & Family Welfare (NHM) in collaboration with the Ayush, Women & Child Development, Panchayati Raj Institution, Directorate of Urban Development, supported by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) Government of India.

Advisor for Technical Education and Election, Medo Yhokha while delivering a short speech said that the Central and State Government have been very conscious about the health of every citizen and well-being, where such medical platforms and facilities were rare to get in the past years. He called upon the public to avail the best opportunity where modern equipment and facilities are at their doorsteps.

MLA, Keneizhakho Nakhro expressed his gratitude to the medical fraternity and other line departments for their initiative in holding such Mela for the benefit of the public, especially for the people of weaker sections. He encouraged the citizens to avail the good facilities which are provided free of cost.

Chairman HCMC Sechu Zubza, Meya Zhunyu also thanked the line departments involved in initiating the Health Mela and the facilities and services provided free of cost to the public. The programme was chaired by CMO Kohima, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo while vote of thanks was delivered by Dy CMO, Kohima, Dr. Khriesilie Sachu.

More than 300 patients availed free medical facilities and services during the health mela.
