Landslide triggered by heavy rainfall which occurred in the afternoon of 30th August 2022 has completely cut off some portion of the road from New Peren to Chalkot Junction which is considered to be the lifeline shortcut road leading to Tening Sub-division via Mbaulwa Range. However, no casualties or injuries were reported during the time of the incident.

It may also be added that since the onset of monsoon season, the commuters of Tening and Nsong areas have been facing untold hardships and miseries owing to the deplorable road conditions.
