The 4th edition of the Hezukhu memorial trophy kicked off on 21st November 2023 at district sports council ground Zunheboto with Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies and Legal Metrology, K. Tokugha Sukhalu, as the special guest. The trophy is being organized by Zunheboto district football association. 

The Advisor in his speech advised the players to have a commitment in sports along with good academic records if one wants to become a professional in the future. He advised them that in order to be a professional player one must also be disciplined and maintain a proper diet. He lamented on the increasing rate of school dropouts and unemployment amongst the youths and so encouraged them to also focus on skill development and    entrepreneurship also. The Advisor also lamented on the wild fire spread and use of abusive substances and alcohol in the district and so advised the youths to abstain those habits if one wants to become a sports professionals. The Advisor also requested the GBs and elders especially the land owners present at the programme to come and work together if they want development to come to the district and if they want their children's to have a bright future as these days developments are being hampered because of land compensation issues. The advisor also requested the organisers to organise Talent Hunt in sports sometimes and send the names to him so that he would try to do whatever possible to make them achieve their goals.

        Earlier the programme was chaired by Tavin, invocation prayer by Nupato Zhimo, welcome note by Inoka Yeptho, President ZDFC, special song by Ghokivi Awomi, short speech by Kiyeka S. Sumi, Vice president NFA and member AIFF Grass root development and was followed by oath taking and the special guest declared the tournament open.

      Altogether nine teams are competing in the tournament and the tournament is scheduled from 21st to 27th November.
