The result of HIPFEST 2021 photography competition was declared at Kisama on the 2nd day of the hornbill festival, Photographer Kekhriezhazo Machieo, Freelance Merimvu Doulo and Media Officer to the Chief Minister, Ayieno Kechü, judged the HIPFEST 2021 photography contest on 2nd December.

The HIPFEST is organised by the department of Information & Public Relations (IPR) in collaboration with Eastern Art Council.  

Photo-37c from the exhibition gallary, shot by Longso Yimkhiung won the HIPFEST photography contest, subsequently, Inakavi Kasho and Parvej Akhtar were placed the 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The winner of the competition will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, the second and the third will receive a cash award of Rs 20,000 and 15,000 respectively. Nine consolation prize winners were also declared with cash prize of Rs. 5000 each and in addition a ‘viewer choice’ will be selected from the spectator which will be declared on the 7th day of the festival.
