The Farewell Programme of outgoing Director Industries & Commerce K. Hokieshe Assumi was held on 31st March 2022 at the Conference hall Directorate of Industries & Commerce Kohima.      

Assumi thanked God for giving him good health and expressed appreciation to all the staff of the Department for their cooperation, love, and support. He said the Department of Industries & Commerce has a big role to play in the Development of the State for which he called upon all the staff to work with zeal and commitment while discharging their given responsibility. The Director is retiring from active service with effect from 1st April after serving the Department for the last Thirty-five years. He first joined the department as Functional Manager on 7th December 1990 and later on took the charge as Director on 22nd October 2019.                     

            Advisor Industries & Commerce, Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Imnatiba in his speech described the outgoing Director as a fatherly figure, approachable, and hardworking person. He lauded the outgoing Director for playing a proactive role in creating the Department as an effective machinery for the development of the State.

            Others who spoke on the Farewell Programme include Commissioner & Secretary Industries & Commerce Kekhrievor Kevichusa, Incoming Director Vitsutho Nyuthe, CEO NKVIB Kuhoi Zhimomi oncorporations' behalf, General Manager Sukhonial Langthasa on behalf of DIC/sub-DIC, MD. NEP Y. Lipongse Thongtsar on behalf of NICGOA and Registrar Kevirheineiu on behalf of the ministerial staff. The chairman of the programme was Joint Director (A) Temjen Jamir.
