Incessant heavy rain from 18th to 20th July 2026 has caused road sinking of the lone connectivity road from zero Point, Bhandari town to Bhandari village, Alikhum village, Longchum village and Yimpang Village under wokha district. Road sinking also occurred about 2 to 3 km away from Zero Point Bhandari town, towards Yimpang village.

Rikhyothung Odyuo, vice president Lotha Youth Hoho has informed that the public from Bhandari village and surrounding areas have mobilized volunteers to repair the damaged road and have cleared parts of the road blockage to assist the public of the four villages to pass through.

In ward 8 of Bhandari town, the house belonging to Penthungo Yanthan and another house belonging to Helen Yanthan were severely affected by the landslide, while another house at Yimpang village belonging to B. Zuben Yanthan was also badly damaged by landslide.
