The three days Incessant rain, monsoon fury hits Shamator, the town pipeline is also totally cut off due to heavy landslides, several roads were cut off from Shamator main road, Chessore-Agunato road. The loss of Paddy fields in Y. Anner Village at Kebeak, Chessore area and landslide between Chessore-Shamator  have been cut off. 

            During this Monsoon season the District administration Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA, Arikumba has issued advisory notification under Disaster Management Act 2005 section 26(2) and section 30 (2) (v).

            That the Public are informed

            A) to keep oneself updated about weather conditions and forecast, may download Safer Nagaland application from play Store for weather updates, the public are also advised to 

            B) Avoid flooded areas and be extra cautious while crossing the bridges or moving near water bodies.

            C) Be cautious while travelling. To exercise caution while travelling, especially on roads that are prone to flooding or landslides. If encountering heavy rains and reduced visibility, consider postponing your journey until the weather improves.

            D) Avoid Travelling at night. Public is advised not to travel at night during monsoon season.

            E) Stay away from powerlines. Beware of the presence of electrical power lines and avoid approaching them, especially in wet conditions. Report any fallen or hanging powerlines to the concerned authorities.

            F) Look out for vulnerable individuals. Keep an eye on the elderly, children and people with special needs and extend required assistance.

            G) Report emergencies. In case of any emergency or hazardous situation, contact the concerned authorities immediately. Report incidents such as landslides, flooding, road damage or fallen trees to the helpline number.             Therefore, the public has been informed to co-operate with the local administration and district administration for their safety.
