Pfutsero sub-division united with the nation in celebrating the 77th Indian Independence Day at the Pfutsero Town Sports complex. Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA, Government of Nagaland was the Chief Guest. Dr. Neisatuo hoisted the National Flag and received the Rashtriya salute from seven parade contingents. The occasion saw the reading of the Independence Day message and a pledge to achieve a drug-free Nagaland. The program featured patriotic displays, musical performances, felicitations, and the inauguration of exhibition stalls. The MLA also inaugurated a CCTV system at the police station and followed by the beating of retreat.
