Satakha sub-division joined the nation in celebrating the 77th Independence Day with MLA A. Nyamnyei Konyak as the special guest.

The program started with the arrival and hoisting of the national flag by the special guest, followed by parade inspection and an Independence Day speech. This was followed by a march past by six contingents. The event also featured a special song by Kahili, a tug of war competition, and cultural presentations by A Khel womenfolks. The chief guest also inaugurated exhibition stalls and the CCTV installation at Satakha police station.
