Tening sub-division joined the district in commemorating the 77th Independence Day at Tening town local ground. The event was graced by Namri Nchang, MLA, who served as the special guest for the occasion.

Upon his arrival, Namri hoisted the national flag, followed by receiving the Rastriya salute from the parade contingents. The National Anthem was sung with fervor by students from Government Higher Secondary School. Subsequently, Namri delivered the insightful Independence Day speech, while a special performance was presented by Keringseyile.

Earlier in the day, the National flag was hoisted across various government offices and public establishments, symbolizing unity in the celebration of freedom.

Post the formal programme, the special guest inspected various stalls. An engaging football exhibition match took place involving government employees and public leaders.
