Independence Day was celebrated in Tizit with great enthusiasm and pride. Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor for Water Resources, was the special guest for the occasion. He hoisted the National Flag and took the salute from 14 parade contingents, led by ABI Agoak as the parade commander. Ozukum delivered the Independence Day speech at the Local Ground, Tizit. The celebration featured a Patriotic Song by Hope Plant School, Tizit, as well as Patriotic dances by Don Bosco School Tizit and Hope Plant School. A special moment was the felicitation of "Veeron Ka Vandan" by the special guest, paying tribute to the sacrifice of Rifleman late NK Konyak, 46AR, who bravely served the nation. The program also included a sweet distribution by CDPO Tizit. The event concluded with the inauguration of CCTV installation at Police Station Tizit HQ by the Advisor.
