Bhandari sub-Division celebrated the 76th Independence Day at the Public Sports Ground on 15th August with Advisor for Information & Technology, Science & Technology, New and Renewable Energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon who unfurled the National flag as the special guest.

Addressing the gathering he highlighted on the key achievements of the Government in various sectors.

7th NAP Battalion Bhandari, 7th NAP Unit School Bhandari, Government Hr Sec School Bhandari, Students Police Cadets GHSS Bhandari and Don Bosco Hr Sec School Bhandari were the parade contingents led by Yantsao Kikon, ABSI, 7th NAP Bn Bhandari.

Highlights of the day included folk song presentations by Bhandari Eloe Hoho and special song by Peter Patton.

Tug of war was played between Bhandari Civil Society Organisations and Bhandari Sub- Division officers.

Earlier the chief guest also inaugurated marketing shed and Exhibition stalls put up by different agricultural groups, departments and public organizations.
