In Dimapur, Advisor for Power, Tovihoto Ayemi unfurled the National Flag and took Rashtriya Salute from 16 parade contingents led by ACP, Johnny M Patton as Parade Commander at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur on 15th August 2022.

The Advisor delivered the Independence Day speech. Adding more colors to the celebration, Army choppers carrying National Flag flew past the DDSC Stadium to the cheering crowd.

Other highlights of the programme celebration included a parade review by the Commissioner of Police, Patriotic song by SD Jain Higher Secondary School, Choreography by Livingstone International School, Dance by Nritya Academy of Dance and Arts, cultural presentation by Garo cultural group, Kachari Cultural Troupe and inauguration of exhibition stalls by Advisor, Tovihoto Ayemi. The day was also marked by an exhibition Cricket match between DC XI and CP XI, prize distribution, and beating of retreat by 43rd Assam Rifles.
