The occasion at Niuland was graced by Neiba Kronu, Minister of Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, and Parliamentary Affairs. He unfurled the National Flag at the Niuland Public Ground, took the Rashtriya Salute from the 15 different contingents led by parade Commander K. Vekato Chishi (ACP) Niuland, and read out the Independence Day Speech.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph school, JNV Nihokhu, and Shepherd High School performed special presentations; and Folk dances by Project Colony, Niuland Town, and P. Vizheto Village, followed by the inauguration of Exhibition stalls. 

Government Employees, Public leaders, GBs, and students in the district attended the celebration.
