Tening Town celebrated its 76th Independence Day at Tening on 15th August 2022 with Additional Deputy Commissioner Tening, Tokai. V. Achumi as the special guest. The special guest unfurled the national flag and took Rastriya salute from the parade contingents meanwhile a special number was also presented by voice of hills band Tenning

After the formal program an exhibition stall was also opened by the ADC which was followed by penalty shoot out of inter ward league match.
