Tuensang District observed the occasion with H. Chuba Chang Advisor, PWD(R&B) as the Special Guest at Parade Ground Tuensang.
A review of Parade contingents was done by Vishal Chauhan Superintendent of Police Tuensang.
The parade commander of the 75th Independence Day celebration was Sheta Lohe SDPO Tuensang and Athriti Stm ABI 3rd NAP was second in command and a total of 14 contingents participated in the celebration. Namely; DEF, 3rd NAP, VG, SPC GHSS Thangjam, Ex- Servicemen, SPC 3rd NAP Regimental School, NCC Sao Chang Government College, NCC boys GHSS, Bharat Scout & Guides, NCC Girls GHSS, students of Baptist Thangyen School, 3rd NAP Pipe Band and Hauyang Choba Pipe Band.
District Commendation Awards were awarded to M. Bumet Chang Agri Inspector, Bongsuhli Sangtam Naik Under SP, L. Tsusuthong Yimchunger ABC under SP, Hojungla Sangtam Inspector of statistics, Apenro Khuvung Vice Principal GHSS, B.L. Asongla Chang Chowkidar CMO, Tzuwalemla Nursing sister under MS, T. Akumchingmak Chang Mali MS, Chongshen Carpentry helper GHSS Thangjam, Koibamongko Sadar Hd DB, T. Thongthong Tikhir DB Grade II, and District Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (maternity benefits programme) cell.
Certificates of appreciation for 100% COVID vaccination was also awarded to GPS Noksen, GMS Noksen, GHS Noksen, and St Joseph’s School Noksen.
The programme was also graced with displays by the Tuensang District Taekwondo Association, 3rd NAP Pipe Band, and Hauhyang Choba Pipe Band. Changen Cultural Club, Sangli Cultural Club, and Rajasthani Dance also displayed the cultural items.
ATMA, Soil & Water Conservation, Agriculture, RD (NRSLM), KVK, Sericulture,Veterinary, Fishery, Cooperation department, and Legal services put up stalls at the parade ground which was also inaugurated by the Special Guest of the programme H. Chuba Chang Advisor, PWD(R&B).
Feeding of patients in hospitals/district jail inmates and orphanages was also conducted and the programme was led by Changsonla Chang and Sentimenla Jamir.
Soudak Project, a project initiated by the Chang Wedoshi Setshang and sponsored by Sanglee, RTO Kohima was launched on 15th August 2022 by Advisor, Roads & Bridges H. Chuba Chang, at CWS office, Tuensang. The project is a crash course program to prepare aspirants for different competitive exams.
