The 2nd phase of Civil Defence Wardens & Volunteers Training on basic training for the newly enrolled Civil Defence Wardens Volunteers was organised by the office of the District Commandant, Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Nagaland begins on 25th November 2025 and will culminate till 1st December 2025, at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire.
EAC Kiphire, Zavito Ltu in his address, extended his appreciation to the organisers for organising the training program. He also spoke on the importance of covering essential skills in disasters response, first aid, rescue techniques, fire fighting and community safety to perform rescue operations competency during the actual occurrence of disasters at any eventualities in the district.
Zavito also encouraged the Wardens, Volunteers, SDRF personnel and trainees to take advantages of the week long training programs and for management of equipments to be used and ready to face any disasters or any other eventualities for the safety of the public and appealed to be an ambassador of Kiphire District.
In the 1st phase of the training, 152 local trainees successfully conducted their training, while in the 2nd phase, 150 local trainees turn up positively, where women out numbered the male trainees.
Opening remarks was delivered by District Commandant Kiphire, Tokashe Sema, followed by self introduction of the trainees. Inaho Labo, Sub – Inspector, Kiphire chaired the programme and also proposed the closing remarks, where he appealed the trainees to be well discipline and punctual and assured them of training allowance (TA) with certificate.
