Inaugural function of the 5th Inter-Departmental Sports meet was held at indoor Badminton Stadium Tuensang on 25th November 2025.

Addressing the inaugural function, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang appreciated the organizing Committee for their efforts in organising such a tournament in the district. She stated that it is a social gathering for all the departments in the district to get to know one another and to showcase their talents and promote physical fitness.

Longpoksang Lemtur, SP Tuensang in his brief note encouraged the participants to carry forward the spirit of games and to foster understanding and co-ordination among the Government employees in serving the people of the district.

Other highlights of the function were invocation by Changsang Pastor PBC Tuensang; welcome address by Shelly Katiry, ADC Tuensang; special song by Hongkong Kelep and oath Taking by Er. Akhang Jongshi. The programme was chaired by Er. Nabum Chang. All the departments of Tuensang participate at Futsal, Carrom, Badminton and Table Tennis.
