District stakeholder consultation workshop for Viksit Nagaland @2047 was held on 22nd April, 2026 at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek with the objective to discuss inclusive, multi-sectoral perspective, diagnose systematic gaps and define visionary targets for 2030, 2038 and 2047 (short medium and long term). The workshop brought together representatives from government departments, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to deliberate on the vision for a developed Nagaland aligning with ‘Vikshit Bharat’ vision.

Delivering the welcome address, Deputy commissioner Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS, appreciated the active participation of stakeholders in the gathering. He highlighted that the state needs to be developed to achieve the goal of Viksit Nagaland @2047. He also stressed the need to prepare a proper roadmap for long term development of Phek town both in private and government sector.

On sectoral assessment overview a brief presentation was delivered by line departments on the five SWG pillars: economic, social, environmental, infrastructure and governance. 

Consultant from Nagaland Institute of Transformation (NIoT) under the Planning and Transformation Department facilitate the discussion, where five groups were constituted based on the five SWG pillars, including Economic Development, Social Development, Environmental Sustainability, Infrastructure Development, Governance and Institutional Strengthening. Each group were to deliberate on challenges and strategies.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and briefing on the next steps for compilation of the district report based on the consultant outcomes.
