In pursuance to the Travel Advisory issued by the Home Department NO. HOME/MISC/GAB- 1/2024, Dated 04.09.2024, the following advisory is hereby issued to ensure smooth movement of essential commodities and commuters travelling from Chumoukedima to Kohima and vice versa in the wake of the recent land slide/land erosion that has affected the NH-29:

Only Heavy Vehicles with priority to be given to heavy vehicles ferrying essential commodities shall be allowed to ply from Chathe Bridge (Patkai Jn.) to New Chumoukedima, on the NH 29 Four Lane Road on an hourly basis depending on the structural integrity of the road and weather conditions. The movement of vehicles shall be regulated by the Traffic Police, Chumoukedima.

Only light vehicles can ply from Chumoukedima Town (Old Check Gate) to New Chumoukedima via Old Chumoukedima Village Road.
