The DC & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma IAS, accompanied by Senior S.P Mokokchung and other administrative officials visited Chungtia village on 21st March 2026 to assess the law and order situation that occurred in the village in view of the upcoming By-Election.
During the visit the Deputy Commissioner convened a meeting with members of the village council to discuss Election related issues and emphasized the importance of cooperation from all stake holders to ensure free, fair and peaceful conduct of the By-Election.
The officers also inspected polling stations under the village jurisdiction to review preparedness and ensure that necessary arrangement an in place for the smooth conduct of the Election.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and conducting the election in an efficient manner.
