Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS graced the Launching of JAL UTSAV inaugural program as Special Guest at DPDB Hall Kiphire on 6th November 2024.

In his speech Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer said that, Jal Utsav is being implemented in 20 Aspirational District/Blocks in the states in partnership with National Jal Jeevan Mission, Development of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti to create awareness and sensitivity towards water management, conservation and sustainability. Quoting "Little drop of water makes a mighty ocean", Temsuwati said that community participation and protection of water resources is very important, and initiative activities like water asset cleaning, trees plantation, students led awareness programs and community pledges to inspire responsible water use and conservation.

Department of Water Resources and Public Health Engineering Department featured their Success work presentation in the program.

The program was moderated by Sukanya, ABF NITI Aayog, while Lemtsu L Tikhir, Youth Pastor (TBCKT) evoked god's blessings.

Executive Engineer, PHED, Er. Akokba Sair delivered the welcome address, while Tethuvo spoke on the success story of JJM, and how the public have benefited from the scheme so far.

Longdiba L Sangtam, ADC (HQ) administered the oath taking pledge and vote of thanks was proposed by Takatemjen Pongen, EAC (HQ). The program was attended by Nyayaipam A. Shimray, State Young Professional, Nagaland.
