Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu Rohit Singh, IAS has ordered that as per reported from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, there have been cases of mortality of pigs due to outbreak of African Swine Fever in Kithagha village Tseminyu District. Therefore under section 6(1) of the production and control of infection and contagious diseases in animals Act.2009 in order to contain the spread of the disease has been enforce.
The following advisory measures for the containment of the disease are to be enforced.
1. Restriction of movement of Pigs/Pork in the infected zone (1.km radius of the village)
2. Prohibition of slaughter/Sale of Pigs/Pork in the infected zone.
3. Closely monitoring the surveillance zone (9 km outside the infected zone).
4. Proper disposal of dead animals by deep burial or incineration within the infected zone.
