The monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB)-cum-felicitation, and introduction of new DPDB Chairman and New Deputy Commissioner & vice Chairman DPDB, Mokokchung was held on 14th May 2025, at the DC’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung.
Speaker NLA & outgoing DPDB Chairman, Sharingain Longkumer welcomed the incoming MLA & DPDB Chairman Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi and thanked the DPDB members for all the support and co-operation shown to him during his tenure.
MLA & DPDB Chairman Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi, mentioned his appreciation towards the outgoing DPDB Chairman for all the exemplary work done in the district during his tenure. Nuklutoshi assured to give his best for the development of the district and appealed to all the members to cooperate and to support him in his new assignment.
On behalf of the District Administration, SDO (C) HQ reported that Mokokchung was the only district in the state which does not have a sardar juristiction, which is needed for effective administration. On this, the Speaker NLA & outgoing DPDB Chairman, Sharingain Longkumer, suggested to make a comprehensive and comparative report to give clarity and to avoid misconception. Taking note of the suggestion, MLA & DPDB Chairman Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi, asked the concerned authority to present the report in the coming DPDB meeting.
In the meeting, registration of Mongsanger Semchir Telongjem Society was approved and forwarded to the Government for further action. Earlier in the meeting, the last meeting minutes was also reviewed.
