Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Council of India Office & Training Centre was launched at St. John Sector A, Tuensang on 22nd March 2025 with Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa as the special guest of the launching programme.
The short programme was conducted at PCPU. Speaking on the programme, the special guest congratulated the PCI State official on opening the much-needed MSME PCI office & training centre in Tuensang. She stated that there are many entrepreneurs in the district who have good craftsmanship and skills but are not registered, leading to failure in government and financial institutions' aid. She encouraged the ward coordinator and village coordinators to play an important role in materialising the MSME PCI objectives in facilitating those who are not aware.
The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the gathering to make use of the office and also advised who will be manning the office to work passionately towards disseminating the information to the max for the benefit of the mass.
State Chairman, MSME PCI Nagaland, Lanuakum Jamir, highlighting the objective of MSME PCI remarked that MSME is the backbone of the state’s economy where 30% of the GDP comes for the sector. He also shared that the objective behind is to promote inclusive growth, job creations and entrepreneurship, while also reducing regional imbalances and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship.
He also explained in detail why many entrepreneurs fail to succeed, and what can be done to avoid hiccups as the business progresses. He also highlighted on the concept of upliftment of female entrepreneurs through this programme.
Short speeches were also delivered from empanelled institutions, C Chamroy Chief Manager SBI Tuensang and Khumchopi Functional Manager, District Industries Centre. Welcome address was delivered by Puchio District Chairman, MSME Tuensang.
