Weather Outlook
28th April 2026: Most districts are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, with thunderstorms and lightning very likely at isolated places.
Districts such as Peren and Kohima may witness heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds (30–40 kmph) at isolated locations.
29th April 2026 (Peak Activity): Widespread localized thunderstorms and lightning are expected across Nagaland, with moderate to heavy rainfall at scattered locations.
Several districts including Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Niuland, and Tseminyu may experience intense weather conditions, increasing the likelihood of localized disruptions.
30th April 2026: Weather activity is expected to gradually ease, with light rainfall at a few places and isolated thunderstorms.
1st May 2026: No significant weather warnings are expected over most districts, indicating improvement in conditions.
The NSDMA advises the public to remain cautious during thunderstorms and lightning events. People are advised to avoid open areas, seek safe shelter during lightning, and stay updated with official weather advisories.
