Noklak DPDB held its monthly meeting on 13th July 2026 at SP Conference Hall chaired by Benei M Lamthio, MLA and Chairman DPDB Noklak. At the outset the chairman warmly welcomed all the members and he highlighted his concern towards the educational system specially the performance of the government schools in the district.
The DC and Vice Chairman DPDB, P. Mono Khiamniungan reviewed the last meeting minutes, subsequently opportunity was given to new members for self-introduction where Ralise Sangtam ADC, Puhan Khiamniungan EAC and Nzanthung DFO introduced themselves to the Board.
The following main agendas were discussed in the meeting.
1. Permission/Recognition of new private School of Tsoiphu Baptist Church for opening private School at Chiphur village under the nomenclature of Baptist School Chiphur was discussed with the concern department and the house approved the proposal and recommended the same to the higher authority for consideration.
(2) Approval of LADP Scheme 2026-2027 in respect of 56 Noklak and 57 Thonoknyu A/C including Iconic project was discussed and approved.
(3) Inauguration of the Economic and Statistics Office at Noklak, the MLA and DPDB Chairman noted that the office building was complete and emphasized the need for its early operationalization to facilitate the issuance of birth and death certificates. The DPDB approved the proposal and forwarded it to the Government for consideration, along with the requirement for adequate staff.
The Sericulture department presented a Powerpoint presentation by the department officer of its department work progress and achievements.
The house entrusted the Social Welfare department for a PowerPoint presentation in the next meeting.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks and directed the members to present the meeting positively with a view to uplift the young district in smooth and fast development.
