A one-day training session for Line Departments on the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) for the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2025–2026 was conducted on 14th Nov. 2024 at the DPDB Hall, Kohima. The training saw the participation of 18 line departments focused on enhancing rural governance and promoting sustainable development at the grassroots level.

The session commenced with an inaugural address by Rhosietho Nguori, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kohima. In his speech, Nguori emphasized the significance of the People’s Plan Campaign in bolstering rural governance. He highlighted the campaign’s role in fostering sustainable development that directly benefits communities at the grassroots.

The training included sessions led by two resource persons: Vilopi Angami, BDO Jakhama, discussed the key objectives and focus of the GPDP, elaborating on the 29 subjects outlined in the 11th schedule. He addressed the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders in the People’s Plan Campaign.

While Qheboka A. Sumi, SPC PPI-CBO Convergence Project NRO, Kudumbashree presentated on the Village Prosperity Resilience Plan (VPRP). He provided insights on the importance of VPRP within the GPDP framework and reviewed achievements under the VPRP-GPDP for the period 2024–2025.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Project Director of the DRDA Kohima, Kevilhoubeü expressing gratitude to the participants and resource persons for their contributions to the success of the event.
