The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on 6th February 2026 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Peren, under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Peren, D. Robin.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the ADC, followed by a review of the previous meeting minutes. On behalf of the District Administration, the ADC expressed appreciation to all the departments for their active participation in the successful celebration of the 77th Republic Day.
In regards to the agenda seeking financial assistance for renovation of the drainage system and construction of a retaining wall at Peren Town Local Ground, the ADC informed the Board that the proposal had already been approved in the previous DPDB meeting, but was yet to be forwarded to the concerned department for implementation. After deliberation, the Board resolved to route the application to the Municipal Affairs Department for necessary action.
While agenda raised by SDO PWD (R&B), Er. Asembe Mbungcha, regarding difficulties faced by the students in the district in obtaining Birth Certificates following the reopening of schools and colleges, the DESO Peren, Vikeyielienuo Chielie clarified the issues to the members. In this connection, the ADC suggested and urged the DESO to conduct block-wise workshops across the district to address the issue.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the chair.
