A Coffee Table Book "Transforming Lives; A Glance of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( Urban) Mission in Nagaland” was released by Advisor for Municipal Affairs & Urban Development, Zhaleo Rio IAS ( Retd), at Hotel Vivor on 16th May 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Advisor Zhaleo Rio stated that the Coffee table book highlights the transformative impact of the flagship Mission in providing affordable housing to the urban population. PMAY (urban) has played a crucial role in realising the dream of Housing for all, and in Nagaland, the mission has not only provided dignified housing to thousands of beneficiaries but has also contributed to urban development, employment generation and socio-economic upliftment. Zhaleo emphasised that the book will serve as a source of inspiration and record of the state’s collective efforts in building a more inclusive and Sustainable urban future.

Chairperson of the program, Commissioner & Secretary, Municipal Affairs and UDD, Kekhrievor Kevichusa IPoS, in his opening remark, said that this book will serve as a visual narrative of the progress made, the challenges that have been overcome and the inspiring stories of resilience and inspiration fulfilled.

Opening prayer was offered by Peraciezie Baptist Chruch Kohima, Rev. Dr. Kevichalie Metha, special number by TRUISM, and a vote of thanks was delivered by Joint Director & HoD Municipal Affairs Department, Temjenrenla Kichu.
