Four day Workshop on Cooperative Audit & System Audit (7th May – 10th May, 2025) commenced on 7th May 2025 at cooperative training centre, Medziphema organised by the department of Cooperation, with Commissioner Secretary Zarenthung Ezung (IAS) as special guest.
Speaking at the workshop the special guest highlighted the importance of conducting a workshop on cooperative audit and system audit. He reminded the participants of ICS, RCS to look at the scenario of cooperatives societies which have 8000 in total in all states but 80% of the societies are dormant or non-functional. He requested all the ICS, RCS to check all non-functional strictly. He also emphasizes that the department should play an important role to revive all the dormant co-operative societies. He also urged all the ICS present in the workshop to perform well to keep up the image of the department as they are the auditor of the department and all responsibilities lie to them. He assured that this workshop would benefit everyone and the benefit should go down to the grass root level. The special guest was accompanied by the General Manager NABARD Regional Office, Dimapur, Pauliankap Bulte and ADC Medziphema, James Swu.
Zarenthung Ezung also released M-PACS promotional videos, an initiative of the Cooperation Department, Government of Nagaland and NABARD Regional Office, Dimapur.
The four day workshop will have four sessions on different subjects like members register, share register, depreciation, MOC initiatives and Gem, Loan Ledger, Bank Statement, system audit, sales and return register, purchase register stationary audit and closing stocks by resource person from various districts.
The resource persons of the workshop were Akangjongshi DY. RCS and workshop coordinator, Gloria Kikon SRCS, Bharati Chhinal DY.RCS, Kegwahi Kent SRCS, Bokato Hesso DY. RCS and Akangjongshi DY. RCS, Tsuknungwati Sangtam, Likoknungden SRCS, Intellect Team and H.O Audit team.
Altogether 65, ICS, SRCS, ARCS, attended the workshop. The programme was chaired by R. Bendang Ao, Jt. RCS; opening prayer by Kevicholie Mezhu Pastor, Town Baptist Church Medziphema; welcome address by Bendangla Longkumer ADDL RCS; Introduction and keynote by Rokovisa Chase Jt. RCS AUDIT.
The four day workshop will culminate on May 10th 2025.
