Additional Deputy Commissioner Noklak, M. Chaitanya Prasad, IAS in an order has banned the sale and consumption of Pan, Gutkha and Tobacco products. Spitting in public places and Institution is strictly prohibited as preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 infections. Failure to comply with this order shall attract legal action under section 188 of the Indian penal code and under relevant sections of the National Disaster Management Act 2005.

All pet owners have also been directed to prevent their pets from straying outside their respective home premises inorder to prevent/reduce the risk of transmission of the disease. Violation of this direction shall attract strict action against the owner as per the relevant section of National Disaster management Act 2005.

It shall be mandatory for all public to wear mask in public places. Defaulters shall be penalized under Epidemic Disease Act 1897 (IPC section 188).

Children below 10 years of age are amongst the higher risk category, parents have been advised not to send their wards/children under 10 years for errands in the down area.
