The full text is as follows:
“Today 9 more people who have returned to Nagaland have been tested positive for COVID-19. The total active cases in the State now stand at 18. All the positive persons are being kept under medical observation at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. Further, active surveillance and Contact Tracing in connection with the positive cases is being carried out.
Till date a total of 1702 samples have been tested. The results of 1276 samples have been received, out of which 18 as mentioned above are positive. The results for 426 samples are awaited. Through the Truenat testing machines so far a total of 63 samples have been tested, out of which 59 are negative and results of 4 samples are awaited.
Today, Shri S. Pangnyu Phom, the Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare visited Tuensang and had a meeting with the District Task Force and the Tribal Hoho Leaders and the Civil Societies and reviewed the preparedness for combating COVID-19. The Hon’ble Minister was accompanied by Shri Toshi Wungtung, Advisor, IPR, SCERT & Village Guards, Dr. Vizolie Z. Soukhrie, Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare & Dr. Robin Lotha, Joint Director, Health & Family Welfare.
A special train from Andhra Pradesh to the North East with 93 passengers of Nagaland which started on the 26th of May 2020 is expected to reach Dimapur at 9.30 P.M. tonight. Another train from Jaipur which also moved out on the 26th of May 2020 with 250 stranded persons from Nagaland is expected to reach Lumding, Assam on the 29th of May 2020 at 5.00 A.M. The passengers thereafter shall be ferried to Nagaland by buses.
A total of 12,677 citizens have signed up in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland – Visitors App since 23rd March 2020 and in the last 14 days 2492 persons have submitted their travel self-declaration. At present 2120 persons are being digitally monitored through the App.”
