A one-day Career Planning Workshop under the theme “Clarity Creates Direction: Navigating Life with Informed Choices” was successfully conducted at Shamator, organised by the District Administration, Shamator in collaboration with Seeds of Grace Trust and the Shamator Town Students’ Union (STSU). The programme was also organised as part of the Mission Sankalp Special Campaign held at Cultural Hall, Shamator, on 8th September 2025.
The workshop was moderated by Martin, while the invocation prayer was led by Inavi Aye, Pastor, Shamator Town Sumi Baptist Church (STSBC). In his keynote address, SDO (Civil), Shamator, Athrong emphasized the importance of informed decision-making and urged the gathering students to prepare themselves with clarity and determination in their chosen career paths.
During the technical sessions, Kudazo, EAC and Major Sumit, 32 Assam Rifles spoke on the topic “Your Pathway to Competitive Success” and “Defence Career Pathways” respectively. Malay Mishra spoke on “Resilience Skills & Entrepreneurship”.
A total of 200 students from three Schools from Shamator (Classes 10–12) participated in the workshop, making it a significant step in guiding young learners towards better career choices.
Alongside the sessions, a Free Dental Check-up Camp was also conducted by the 32 Assam Rifles in collaboration with the District Administration, benefitting the community. Vote of thanks was delivered by Mekato J. Aye, EAC Shamator. The event concluded with a positive note, leaving both students and organisers hopeful that such initiatives will continue to inspire and shape the future of the youth.
