Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, launched the Nagaland LabourChowk mobile Application at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Kohima, on 2nd September 2026. The initiative of the Department of Labour, through the Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, aims to modernise and streamline employment services for Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) in the State.

The application has been developed with the objective of providing a transparent, accessible and technology-driven platform connecting construction workers with employers, while facilitating access to employment opportunities and welfare services.

The Digital Labour Chowk seeks to transform the traditional labour chowk system into a more dignified and digitally enabled platform. It will help workers access employment opportunities, welfare schemes and skill development services, while enabling employers to connect with registered workers.

The platform also aims to strengthen transparency and improve service delivery within the BOCW ecosystem by facilitating worker registration, job search and labour engagement through digital means.

For construction workers and stakeholders, the Nagaland Labour Chowk mobile application is available for download on the Google Play Store. Construction workers can search for “Nagaland LabourChowk” on the Play Store, download the application and register themselves to access employment opportunities and other services available through the platform.

Workers and employers can also access the LabourChowk online portal at labourchowk.nagaland.gov.in to register, log in and avail the services available through the platform.

The initiative by the department is expected to benefit construction workers across Nagaland by improving access to employment opportunities, welfare benefits and other support services through a single digital platform.
