A Consultative meeting with the candidates or agents/representatives was held at Conference Hall, DC's Office, Mokokcung on 10th February 2023 in the presence of the General Election Observer for the 27 AC and 28 AC Mokokchung.

During the meeting, General Election Observer 27 AC and 28 AC, Alka Srivastava IAS briefed the participants about the various provisions of Model Code of Conduct and other election related orders and rules which are to be followed by all the contesting candidates, their agents and political parties.

Chairing the meeting, SDO (C) and RO, 27 AC and 28 AC, Shelley Katiry appealed to all the political parties/agents/representatives of the contesting candidates to work in close coordination with the election machineries in order to maintain peaceful atmosphere in their respective constituencies. He also explained about the different process for applying the different permits, and informed that the act of village council or any organisation supporting/endorsing a particular candidate would tantamount to a gross violation of MCC, and all such cases shall be strictly dealt with, as per the provisions of the law.
