DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has informed that in absence of any positive cases for the last 21days the containment zone in Dimapur is restricted to Thakurbari area only.
DC further notified that:
- All shops including shops in Residential complex and Market complexes except shops at multibrand and single brand malls, outside the limits of municipalities and town council with 50% strength of workers with wearing of mask and social distancing being mandatory. 2. All shops including neighbourhood shops and stand alone shops and residential complexes within the limits of municipalities and town councils except shops in market complexes and multibrand and single brand malls with 50% of strength of workers with wearing mask and social distancing being mandatory. (Shops to remain open from 9am to 2pm)
- However, all shops in New Market, Hongkong Market, Hazi Park, Millenium Market, Railway Bazaar, Vegetable Market in Purana Bazaar shall remain closed. All Weekly Bazaar to remain closed.
- Nyamo Lotha Road and MP Road will remain open. Shops in Nyamo Lotha Road and MP Road will remain open from 9am to 2pm as per the guidelines issued by the Chief Secretary.
- Wholesale market of essential commodities will continue to operate from designated Godowns as per Order dated 15th April 2020.
- Wholesale vegetable market will continue to operate from supermarket area.
- All public transportation including autorickshaw, cabs services shall remain prohibited.
- It is reiterated that salons, dine in restaurants, eateries and departmental stores shall continue to remain closed however, home deliveries from dine in restaurants, food outlets and delivery of online order of essential commodities shall be permitted.
- The proprietors of the shops and establishments which are allowed to open will make arrangements for keeping hand sanitizers or providing facilities for hand washing with soap and water for the public as well as for their own staff workers. They should also get the door handles surfaces and other objects which are frequently touched by people to be regularly cleaned and disinfected.
DC further maintained that as specified in the lockdown measures, National COVID-19 directive and standard operating procedure for social distancing must be ensured and any person violating the order will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC and the Order comes into force with effect from 5th May 2020.
