Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS has informed all concerned that the Longmisa village Council in presence of ADC & RO 24 Angetyongpang A/C on 23rd February 2023 has undertaken the following; There is no ‘Consensus Candidate’ in Longmisa village and that Longmisa Village Council/Senso Mungdang or any other traditional bodies exercising traditional authority does not endorse any “consensus candidate”. 

Longmisa Village Council/Senso Mungdang or any other traditional bodies exercising traditional authority accept and acknowledge the right of every elector in Longmisa village to participate/contest/vote based on free choice. The Longmisa Village Council being a Govt. body shall not indulge in any political activities and remain politically neutral at all times. The Village Council shall not restrict/debar any political party/candidate to carry out election campaigns and allow each & every political party/candidate without any additional conditions other than those prescribed by the concerned RO/ARO under the relevant section of law.
