The Peren District Task Force Immunization meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren on 23rd June 2026. The district task force meeting focussed on measurable indicators at State and District Level to stop Diarrhea and Measles Rubella 2026.

In the meeting R. Khartu Monsang, RPO UNDP, highlighted the accomplishment report of 80% success in Vaccination for Measles Rubella and Routine Immunization in the district. Dr. Valentina Neikha DPO. UIP/RCH also highlighted the aims and objectives of the Campaign which is to ensure high coverage of ORS & Zinc usage in children with Diarrhoea throughout the Country and to generate awareness to care and gives for Diarrhoea prevention and management of under 5 years children. She also said that to intensify Diarrhoea prevention and management intervention through a multi stakeholders intersectoral approach and also to achieve Zero child deaths due to Diarrhoea.

Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru encouraged the Task force of Peren to upgrade the modality for the dissemination information for the immunization. He also urged the line department to intensify efforts in disseminating the benefits of M.R Vaccination to ensure the success of the Campaign and also informed them to reactivate the village level for more active participation.
