Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS was formally inducted as the District President of Phek District Bharat Scout and Guides during a solemn ceremony held at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Phek on 9th September 2025. The induction ceremony was administered by John Tochimong SOC (Scouts), assisted by Om Prakash Gupta, SC (Cub).
In his address as the District President of Bharat Scout & Guides, Rhosietho Nguori assured his support towards the growth of Bharat Scout & Guides in the district. The DC called upon authorities of schools in Phek to embrace the Scouting and Guiding movement in order to nurture responsible and service minded citizens. State Chief Commissioner for Bharat Scout & Guides, Chubanungla, in her speech, expressed her sincere appreciation and congratulated the Deputy Commissioner for his new assignment as the District President of Bharat Scout & Guides. She also conveyed her gratitude to Heads of Institutions in Phek for their willingness to be part of the Bharat Scout & Guides. Vimezhonu Tetso, SOC (Guides), highlighted the crucial role of the District President in advancing Scouting & Guiding activities in the district.
On the occasion of the induction ceremony, Christian Home School, Phek set a historic example by enrolling all its students under the Bharat Scout & Guides, becoming the first school in Nagaland taking the initiative towards building the character of young boys and girls into responsible citizens.
