DC & District Magistrate Tseminyu, Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi IAS has notified for the general information of all concerned that as per section 126 of the Representation of the People Act 1951 that the campaigning period for the general election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 shall come to an end w.e.f 4:00 pm on 25/2/2023 and that there is a prohibition of public meetings during forty-eight (48) hours ending with hour fixed for conclusion of poll. In consultation with the district Executive Force that urgent preventive measures are necessitated for compliance with the above and peaceful conduct of the election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 from 12 AC, Tseminyu. The district Magistrate Tseminyu, Nagaland in the exercise of the power conferred under section 144CrPC,1973, has prohibited the undermentioned activities across Tseminyu District with effect from 4:00 pm-25/2/2023 till 11.59 pm 28/2/2023.

1. No person shall convene, hold/attend, join/address any public meetings/processions in connection with an election/display to the public any Election matter using cinematograph, television/other similar apparatus, or propagate any Election matter to the public by holding/by arranging the holding of any musical concert/any other entertainment/amusement to attract the members of the public.
2. Assembly/movement of 5 or more persons within the whole of Tseminyu District and 12 AC Tseminyu will be considered unlawful, however, this does not restrict door-to-door campaigning subjects to the limit of 4 persons.
3. Use of loudspeakers shall not be permitted during the entire period.
4. All political functionary/party workers who have been brought from outside the constituency and who are not voters of 12 AC are directed to leave with effect from the enforcement of this order.

All administrative officers and Zonal /Section Magistrates have been directed to perform magistrates' duties to ensure compliance with instant order in their respective jurisdiction without fail. The superintendent of police Tseminyu District is enjoined to implement this order in letter and spirit. This order shall come into force effective from 4:00 25/2/2023 till 11:59 pm 28/2/2023.
